Update Time!

Hey guys so here's the thing...

Remember the big news I posted a couple of weeks ago? Well guess what, It's kicking off, we're Facebook/Youtube Official! Wait did I just say YouTube? Why yes, yes I did. So that means that there will be videos soon. Right now they will just be covers of songs until I can get some music to my lyrics. So when I have finally put a video up on the YouTube page I will link it and let you all know. I also said Facebook official. Yup that's right we have a fan page.

Also, I bet you all are wondering about the name. As of right now I don't want the name that I have in mind to get stolen since it's not copyrighted so I for right now it is called The KMG Music Project. The last thing I promise. My aunt is coming down this weekend and she is a way cool photographer and such so she said that we could do like a mini photo shoot! How awesome is she?! I'll probably post those as well if we are able to do the shoot and when she gets them to me after the shoot. Alright so I think that's it! Hope everyone is having an amazing summer!!

So I know I promised a more up beat song but don't fret I'm still working on it! I do however have a new song for you guys. Sadly it's back to the angst. This song was written after I had a talk with someone important to me and how basically I felt afterwards. The song is about just breaking free of all the hurt and pain that a certain situation causes you and how you are going to be yourself. Oh before I forget there's a line in there that says 'I'm going to be the next generation and move out to the bay' this line is a historical reference to the Hippie era of the 60s. Hippie's were actually called the new generation and the "hot spot" was San Fran ("the bay"). I thought it sounded a lot cooler than hippie and well it fit better as well. Anyways the next song is called I'm Gonna.

These next two songs were written after my last exam of my junior year. I know what ya'll are thinking..."What two songs in one day?!" Yeah I know, I amazed even myself and right now I'm thinking of writing another song after I post these two. CRAZY I know!! These songs were an attempt to be less angsty and I hope that they come across that way. I feel like they're empowering. The first song is called Changing the Rules. The second song is called My Shooting Star.

Changing the Rules is about not wanting to be heart broken anymore and changing the rules of the game called LOVE. It's also saying that if you don't want to play the game by the rules that I've made then there's the door, I don't need to show you out.

My Shooting Star is about showing that one friend or person in your life how great they are and that they can be strong through you and your relationship and how much they are cherished in your eyes.

BIG NEWS

Here's the thing...

So here's my big announcement I promised to everyone! I figured that the 140 characters on Twitter or the however many characters Facebook gives you wouldn't be able to hold the excitement and babbling I'm about to do. As you all may know I aspire to become a recording artist. I've always had that dream and I've been singing since I can remember. So when my friend Danielle came up to me and was asked me if I was willing to do gigs over the summer I jumped at the opportunity. So after texting back and forth the entire weekend we had the idea and we just needed to meet face to face to finalize everything. This conversation thus creating my first step into chasing my dreams. Also designating her as my manager. Today after our exams we grabbed our friend Molly and "dragged" her to yoforia where we finalized some things and also got our base down. Molly was also designated to become the PR (Press Rep). We decided my image, demographic, and what style I will most likely be covering and entering in with my original stuff that you all have had to read first hand. As of right now we are trying for the Kelly Clarkson look because I can't be as cool as Avril Lavigne and there's no way that I want to create the image of an innocent little girl (that would be way too much pressure on a person, I mean look at Miley Cyrus). After we finished that the heat was beginning to get to us and we decided that we can't do anything until we have money so that will be saved for another get together. We have ideas for fundraising but right now not everything is set in stone. We also talked about doing You Tube videos before I go live. So be on the look out for those. Although I haven't started guitar lessons yet that doesn't mean that I can't sing and start gaining a fan base...

With that being said...be on the look out for more information and updates on how this journey plays out. I really can't wait. Hope to see you all one day looking off a stage ;)
